Reproductive performance and kid growth in Hair goats raised under farmer conditions in Adana Province of Türkiye

This study was carried out to examine the growth and survival characteristics between birth weaning (90th day) in kids born 2020-2022, within scope of "National Sheep Breeding Improvement Project under Farm Conditions" villages districts Adana. A total 15200 Hair goat kids’ data were used study. After birth, kid’s weight, sex, date recorded, on 90th day, weights determined. All sucked their mothers morning evening stayed pen rest day. From age about 2 weeks, fed with oak branches straw pulp. The branches, cotton seed wheat at around two weeks age. average weight 3.10 kg males 2.98 females; found be 16.05 for females 17.50 males. In terms live weaning, differences across year, type, maternal groups shown statistically significant (P < 0.001). survivability 97.20%, by years 0.05), but it not type > 0.05). As a result, has been determined that there is variation among herds fertility goats developmental kids, are affected environmental factors.
